Belgian Design Expands to California: Fedustria and TBS Gallery Forge Partnership to Promote Design Excellence

Fedustria, the federation representing Belgium’s furniture, wood, textile and design industries, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with TBS Design Gallery in San Francisco. This strategic partnership aims to strengthen the presence and visibility of Belgian design in California and foster lasting transatlantic collaboration within the design community.

Starting in 2026, Fedustria and its member companies, in collaboration with TBS Design Gallery, will launch the Belgian Design Days in California. The event will invite architects, designers, and clients to experience first-hand the creativity, craftsmanship, and innovation of Belgian design showcased in the TBS Gallery showroom.

Beyond San Francisco, Fedustria is also developing opportunities in Los Angeles with the support of Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT) and Belgian diplomatic representatives. Plans include a pop-up presentation offering another platform to spotlight Belgian design talent.

Discussions are also ongoing to establish a Belgian pavilion at the Westedge Design Fair, one of the premier U.S. design events, providing Belgian companies a chance to connect with international buyers, press, and the wider creative community.

Through this MoU, both organizations affirm their mutual commitment to visibility, collaboration, and long-term international partnerships — strengthening cultural and commercial ties between Belgium and the United States.
