Board of directors
Fedustria is a non-profit association (vzw in Dutch) and therefore has the conventional governing bodies: General Meeting, Board of Directors, Bureau (daily management). The General Meeting is the highest body. It is made up of all companies that are members of Fedustria vzw. The federation is headed up by a president. They are appointed for a period of three years. The presidency and vice-presidency are alternately held by a representative from the textile sector and a representative from the wood and furniture industry.
Jan Desmet (Decospan Group) was appointed chairman for three years in May 2022, on behalf of the wood and furniture sector.
Frank Veranneman (Veranneman Technical Textiles (Sioen)) was appointed as vice president, on behalf of the textile sector.
The Board of Directors is composed as a joint committee, i.e. with proportional representation from the textile sector and from the wood and furniture industry. For specific sectoral matters (textiles versus wood and furniture), the Board of Directors can be split.
